Browser fingerprinting: how websites tell your browser apart.
8 signals so far, each running its own test on your machine right now. Open any one for how it works, what it actually leaks, and how the defenses against it give themselves away.
There is no entropy score here, on purpose. Entropy is a property of a population, and a figure borrowed from another study describes that study's users rather than you. So each signal says what it actually reveals instead, and the repeats down that column are the point: several of these measure the same underlying fact.
This dictionary is deliberately incomplete. Some signals are missing because they aren't written up yet. Others are held back on purpose: they depend on bugs that vendors haven't fixed, and publishing a working technique before the fix ships helps trackers more than it helps you. Those go up when the fixes do. Anyone claiming a complete list of fingerprinting signals is selling something — the surface changes with every browser release.
